Fountain and Gower’s 11 Tiny Homes

by Bianca Barragan

Hereʼs our very first glimpse of the new 11-home development set to domesticate a lot at the corner of Fountain and Gower. Built under the Small Lot Subdivision Ordinance—which allows for several small, detached houses on a single property—the houses will range in size from around 1,500 to 1,800 square feet, each with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a roof deck. Fountain + Gower, as itʼs currently called, is positioning itself as a super-walkable development, close enough to all the fun of Hollywood to get there on your own two feet.

Groundʼs already been broken on the little houses, and developers are shooting for a March completion date, says Art Simonian of Metro Investments, which has partnered with P. Joseph Development on the project. While thereʼs still no price attached to the units, Simonian did tell Curbed that theyʼd be priced “similar to other projects in the Hollywood market.” As a benchmark, another small-lot development in the area, Hollywood Colony, sold 10 of their 14 tiny homes within three weeks of opening, and all for above $800,000.
